ACNM’s "Why I’m Becoming a Midwife"
VIDEO CONTEST
Step up and claim your four minutes of fame! Do you have a compelling, engaging, funny, or unique story to tell about your decision to become a midwife? Then we want to hear from you! ACNM is excited to announce a new video contest to showcase student midwives as the face and voice of midwifery today and tomorrow.
Winning videos will be featured on the new ACNM "Becoming a Midwife" web pages, at the ACNM Annual Meeting, and other venues where ACNM promotes midwifery. The grand prize winner will also receive a $50 gift certificate to ShopACNM.com. Videos will be judged on message and quality by a panel of ACNM member midwives and staff.
CONTEST GUIDELINES:
- Video content should focus on your desire and decision to become a midwife
- Length must be between one and four minutes
- Current enrollment in an ACNM DOA-accredited midwifery education program required
- Do not include copyrighted materials
- Group submissions also welcome!
- Only one submission per individual or group
SUBMITTING YOUR VIDEO:
- Send your video along with your name, education program, anticipated date of graduation, postal address, email address, and telephone number.
- Videos must be submitted as an mpeg or avi file and mailed to The American College of Nurse-Midwives, c/o Video Contest, 8403 Colesville Road, Suite 1550, Silver Spring, MD 20910. Any questions regarding the contest should be directed to egermano@acnm.org.
